Standard

This standard applies to capacitors and assemblies of capacitors, insulation means, switching and protective equipment, and control accessories that form a complete installation for inserting in series with a transmission or distribution line. Included are requirements for safety, rating, and protective-device levels. Functional requirements for alarm devices, servicing, type and routine tests, and a guide for operation are also included. Functional requirements for protective devices are addressed, in general, with specific emphasis on gap-type devices.<>
